Simpson Strong-Tie Stainless Steel Stitching Bar
PROBLEM: Fractured Masonry
(Often found around door and window openings)
SOLUTION: Stainless Steel Helical Bar
Cracking of masonry in old or new buildings can be caused by a number of different issues. Foundations can settle over time, removing support from the wall above.
Thermal/moisture variations can lead to excessive tensile stresses being applied to the materials used to construct the wall.
Even replacing old windows can lead to cracks forming as the support from the old windows is removed while the new one is fitted.
