Simpson Strong-Tie Adjustable Timber Joist Hanger 241 x 38mm (1 Unit) (JHA270/38)
JHA is an adjustable joist hanger used to support wood joists from wood members. A galvanised joist hanger that provides excellent support and is simple to install. The published performance figures are predicated on the use of 3.75 x 30mm square twist nails throughout. Wider strap provides more surface area on the supporting timber and for greater nail spacing, thereby boosting the performance of the important hanger-to-support connection. Minimum and maximum nailing schedules are imprinted on the strap to provide site workers with the right installation instructions.
The speed-prong holds the hanger in place to facilitate connection. No longer must the installer hold a hanger, joist, and nail with one hand while swinging a hammer with the other! The JHA270 series includes a location tab that facilitates hanger alignment. The seat of the hanger is imprinted with the model number and size for simple identification, even after installation.
