Mafell MT55cc is a well-made, precise, and durable tool. Mafell MT55cc comes in a T-Max Systainer, thus it's compatible with Festool and Mirka T-Loc systainers. Mafell plunge cut saws fit Makita, Festool, and Bosch rails. Mafell's tilt range is +48 to -1 degrees, compared to +45 to 0 degrees plus 1 degree undercut. Standard 90-degree joints provide a glue pocket. MT55cc cuts 57mm, while competitors only cut 55mm. The saw can still cut 51mm deep when on the rail, enough to cut 2" wood. Festool or Makita saws can't accomplish that, right?
Another convenient feature is a 1mm positive stop with a precise adjuster on the grub screw. Twisting the depth indicator sets rail or off-rail cutting depth. When sawing on a guide rail, the cut line will be the rail's edge. Cutting without a guide rail and tilting the saw frequently causes problems. The blade's path is usually hidden. Mafell MT55 has a line indicator on the front of the saw base that travels with the blade so you always know the cut line. Mafell's innovative blade-changing system is convenient.
Push one button and lift the saw handle lever to lower the blade housing. Automatic spindle up disables the switch for safety. The enclosed blade improves dust extraction. Only the rail's gap allows dust to escape. Push down the splinter guard and done. The Mafell MT55CC has a one-touch scoring function. It cuts cleanly like a stationary machine.
