5.5 x 85mm roofing screws for fixing timber to steel or light section purlins since the breakaway wings protect the thread until it drills into the steel.

Light section roofing screws suitable for fixing timber to steel thicknesses of 1.5mm to 4mm.

Supplied with a TORX compatible bit.

The screws wings create a clearance hole through the timber before breaking off once contact is made with the metal surface which allows the screws thread, which has been untouched until now, to create a strong bond with the steel.

TORX compatible countersunk results in a more powerful drive and flush finish.

Finished with an Elemtech coating which is corrosion resistant and salt spray tested to 1000 hours.

Fire Resistant.

Complies with all the relevant requirements of the standards relating to health, safety and environmental concerns.
